The first 10 units of the 25T low friction Cargo Sledge on their way to Antarctica

Today 10 units of the redesigned 25T cargo sledge left the workshop for loading on the vessel Marie Arctica in Aalborg Denmark. This sledge feature low friction skis drastically reducing the towing vehicle’s fuel consumption. And they will be put to the test from day one as these sledges are to be used at full load capacity hauling 25T tanktainers from the ‘5° East’ unloading site to the Norwegian station Troll at a 260km distance.
