Powerpack Dessert Upgrade
The existing engine for which no longer spare parts are available was replaced and the thermal performance of the cooling system was improved drastically.
Major challenges were the stringent space constraints of the vehicle’s engine bay and the fact that the driveline and vehicle structure had to remain unaltered. A comprehensive thermal study was done, and a new engine was selected. Air intake and exhaust systems were redesigned and the engine auxiliaries integration modified to cope with the space constraints. A complete test integration was done and finally the prototype power pack was integrated in the vehicle.
